Of karmas and excellent cars

We went for an A-League soccer game tonight in Telstra Dome.. boy, it was soo much different from watching it on tv! It was far more exciting.. but this post is not about that. I will blog about that later once i downloaded some pics that I took.

This blog is all about Karmas and a great excellent car... here was how the cycle of karma started... (dreamy music pls...)

We sold our Peugeot last nite and got a call from the buyer while we were in the cinema. Manlok returned her call and it seemed that the car was leaking oil! OK, legally Manlok should just have told her that it was not our problem as we have already sold the car and she was happy with it and god knows how she drove it that might coz the leak. BUT Manlok was nice enough to get her to drive it to our mechanic (which is his brother...) to get it checked out without any charge.

Tonight, after the game, we just finished the soccer match and was about to leave the city. As we pulled out and was passing the traffic light when a white VW Polo (TTD085 is the plate) flashed very VERY closely in the corner of my eye. It was running a red light on high speed! I shouted to Manlok and he saw it as well. He quickly turned the wheels and the car spun to turn to the right to avoid the car which was coming from the left. Our beautiful little A3 turned around without as much as a sweat and we manage to escape a disaster.

We then stopped at the next light and the bloody car was right at the back of us. I winded the window down (it couldnt come down fast enough!) and had 1/2 my body out of the car and shouted (sweared, f*$%@ and everything else that was in my vocab) at them and gave them the middle finger. I came back in, and went back out and did it again!! Then Manlok asked me if I can get the number plate. I stuck my body out again and took note of it. We stopped at the side of the road and I called the police to report the incident.

Now, I believe that the good Karma that Manlok did last night was what saved us from a horrific crash that could have been. So ppl out there, believe in Karmic events! Do NOT onto others what you do not want others do onto you....

Secondly, ppl, that is why you SPEND on a GREAT car! Our Audi has a really good turning circle, allowing us to just turn the wheel a little to actually do a good 90 degrees turn! AND as our car is equipped with the stabiliser, with a turning THAT sharp, a lot of cars would have overturned. But the Audi, I didn't even feel the feeling of being 'thrown' to the side! Amazing isnt it? So you see, spending more on a good EUROPEAN car (it's true that it cost fair bit MORE than normal) is worth it. I am not overlooking the fact that IF the crash was to happen we might not survive it...So what is A$40-50K mean compared to a life or 2?

So, here's to KARMA & AUDI... THANK YOU!
